What are my options at the end of the term of my lease?

Leasing is different than purchasing a vehicle in the way you have to approach the end of a lease, versus the end of your financed payments. With leasing, the vehicle is not your own at the end of your term and must be turned back in or purchased outright by you. At the end of your lease, you have a couple of options :

Turn your lease back in at Lighthouse and lease the newest model of your Buick or GMC.
Turn your lease back in at Lighthouse and lease a different new Buick or GMC.
keep your lease, but purchase it at Lighthouse.

Most people that lease like to lease the newest model of their vehicle at the end of their lease, but we want to work with you to find the best option. Make sure you reach out to our sales team so we can answer any and all questions and help in any way in next steps.

WWhat is different with lease payments?

Typically, lease payments are lower than if you were to finance and pay monthly
Lease terms are almost always shorter, normally around 36 months.
Down payments are not always required on a lease.

Are there mileage restrictions with leasing?

Depending on your lease contract, mileage restrictions may apply. Normally in a lease, you choose what mileage parameters you’d like to drive per year of your lease term. Typical mileage options are 10,000 miles, 12,000 miles, or 15,000 miles. There are fees at the end of a lease if you go over these restrictions. There are options in this and it still may be a better option for you to pay a small mileage fee than to pay monthly financing payments.

Do I get factory warranty coverage with my lease? ?

Factory Warranty is still applied and active in your lease and able to be utilized in the same way it would be in a purchase. By the time your lease is up, you will still be in factory coverage and possibly nudging towards the end of full coverage. As a reminder, when you purchase a vehicle, as you fall outside of factory coverage, it is your responsibility to buy an vehicle service contract or pay for repairs yourself. A net positive with a lease is that by the time you’d be out of coverage, you are getting into a new lease with new coverage starting. The worries melt away when it comes to repair payment in a leased vehicle!
