My car sat at a shop for almost 5 weeks and never got looked at! I called on a Friday afternoon and was scheduled for Tuesday morning! I had it towed on Monday, got my first phone call from Cole at 7:30 Tuesday morning, he was great at letting me know everything that was going on and what steps were being taken and my car was fixed by that afternoon!! My visit was for routine maintenance. I was immediately met by a rep that got me to where I needed to be. The service advisor had me checked in and ready to go in 5 or less. I did not wait at the dealership, my wife picked me up. The truck was ready quickly and I was notified as such. When I arrived to checkout, I was in and out. Pain free. I have never had an issue with Lighthouse service and have never met an employee who was anything but friendly.

too expensive for service

I made an appointment to get an oil change, tire rotation, and a recall for child safety seats completed. Also, my car makes a weird noise like something is flapping under the car or under the hood when driving on windy days, and that was also to be checked out. My appointment was for 1:45 on Friday, the one weekday that I don't work. I came to Morton from Bloomington because I was pleased with a repair done at Lighthouse when my car was very new. When I arrived Friday, my appointment could not be found in the system. I asked if I came on the wrong Friday, and they told me, no, I didn't have an appointment scheduled on any day. In other words, whoever I spoke to on the phone to make the appointment didn't put it in the system, so they could not service my car. I was given an apology, but that was quickly followed by an explanation that they were too busy to work me in. After talking to the mechanics, they did work in an oil change and were able to inspect the recall issue. The noise on windy days is still undiagnosed, and there wasn't time for a tire rotation. I had to pick, and the most important thing I needed was the oil change. Super frustrated by this experience, I planned my day off work around this appointment, knowing I would have to wait at the dealership a couple hours while my car was being serviced, but I was prepared for that. I was not prepared to have to make another appointment and drive over again from Bloomington a second time!! (I still haven't scheduled that!) I did not feel like I received a genuine apology or that they did everything they could to make up for their scheduling mistake. I know mistakes happen, but take ownership of the mistake and make the customer feel valued.

My car broke down Wednesday evening and I had it taken to the dealership. They were efficient in getting my car repaired and back to me.

Came in without a firm appointment and they worked me in that day. The staff was friendly, listened and went beyond the norm to provide my service. I feel I can trust the advice I am being given each time I inter-ract with them.

My husband and I were both in the market for new vehicles. We live in Peoria, but decided to go to Morton to look at the GMC trucks for him. We found the truck of his dreams there on a Monday and while we were looking at it on the lot, Dan Vollmer came up to us to see if we needed help. We told Dan we’d like to drive the truck and he arranged it for us. We fell in love with the truck and said he would buy it. Skip’s trade in was getting regular scheduled maintenance at another dealer, so was unavailable. We made an appointment for Wednesday to bring his trade-in back to see what deal we could make. Dan was off Wednesday, so we worked with Quinn Rinkenberger. The first offer we received for his trade-in was full price Blue Book. There were no negotiations needed…we were thrilled. That Friday, we came back to close the deal. Jon Tharp closed the deal with us…efficiently and professionally. Neither of us had ever had such an easy time buying a car/truck. Now it was my turn to get my new car. The following week we came back to test drive a Buick and a GMC. I chose the GMC Terrain. There was only 1 new one on the lot and I didn’t want that one. Dan went online and researched surrounding dealers. Long story short, he found the car I wanted. Once again, Lighthouse gave us the full Blue Book value for my trade-in with the first offer. I ended up selling my car to a relative and made a cash deal for my Terrain. Lighthouse worked with the outside dealer to get my car to Morton and again, Jon Tharp closed the deal with us. This was the least stressful experience in both of our lives…everyone from the door greeter to the finance officer and both salesmen were professional, friendly and knowledgeable. Thank you to all. (Note: Both of our salesmen, Dan and Quinn, go to church with our next door neighbor). We will recommend Lighthouse Buick/GMC to everyone…we’ve already told many people our story.

This was the best car buying experience I’ve had. From the time John met us at the door to when our salesman Dan wished us goodbye in our new Envista, we were treated like family. Dan answered our questions, was helpful to show us anything we wished and gave us time to think. We did not feel pressured at all. Darren the business manager helped us throughout all the transfer and made everything transparent so we knew exactly what we were going to pay. Great Job!

I already called to complain, but I have been misled the last 2 times I’ve been there. I’ve been told that things on my vehicle are bad, when they’re actually fine. It’s super frustrating. Couldn't be happier with the experience at Lighthouse. Brady Vannakan was great to work with and made sure all of my questions were answered.

Mechanic did a great job diagnosing and replacing a section of manifold pipe that was causing an air noise in engine compartment. Body shop did an absolute perfect job of removing (2) PDR dents in left front and rear doors. My only comment and recommendation would be to make sure the mechanics wipe off any oil spills left on the valve cover after an oil change. I had to clean off the oil that was spilled.

Got right in without a wait. Was asked if I wanted tires rotated which I declined due to having them rotated less than a month ago. Had added a question in the comment section when scheduling my oil change about a shimmy in my front end when brakes were applied thinking it would be taken on a test drive but I guess that has to be scheduled differently as nothing was mentioned about it when I picked my vehicle up.

There was a bit of confusion on pickup day (a very busy Saturday) but it all work out. I was extremely dissapointed that supplying the ever popular car manual had been discontinued by GM, at my age, 83, the manual, or as I call it, the Car Bible, was always key in learning about the workings of a new car. A good friend came to my house and spent an hour with me going over cruise, AC, heat, radio, key fob, hazard lights, etc so I feel that I do have a handle on it now. I am more comfortable driving the car now but still have to get used to all of the new things and I really miss the book!

When I made the appt I told the service department the 3 things that were all happening simultaneously with my a/c. I dropped my car off after hours. When the service rep called me he went right into saying that I needed a new compressor. He went off the codes which from what I understand do not indicate a concrete answer to the issue. I asked him point blank questions such as what he thought of all 3 things happening...could it be a few other things. He got short with me and said he would price those as a customer request....with an attitude. The real problem is he would not say with any degree of certainty that replacing the compressor would fixt the problem. He said it "could" fix the problem. There are less expansive "fixes" that need to be explored but he wasn't wanting to talk about them. I asked if he was a mechanic and he said no. I asked to talk to the mechanic. I got a call back later from what was the service manager instead. I need to have a better understanding about the problem and what kind of gamble I am going to take to "see" if a repair will fix the problem or not. I will be taking my car to a different shop in the future. Seems like you have a ton of employees standing around in the service department who are not mechanics. Maybe that is why your prices are so high.

Worked with Cooper on center vent, center console noise and tonneau cover issues. The center vent issues was resolved by installing missing components. The center console noise issue is still present. I was told that noise I’m hearing is normal operation of the vents? That’s open for discussion. The tonneau cover issue was addressed by adjusting the rear weather stripping to minimize the water leaking in the bed of the truck. I was told that no tonneau cover is 100% leak proof. Time will tell when driving through a heavy rain event. Cooper kept me informed on the progress and is to be commended on his patience with the customer (me).

Everything went as planned with no issues. In fact, I was very surprised to receive a call that the service was completed by 9:15 AM. This is my first vehicle from Lighthouse GMC and my 2nd service visit and the entire experience has been stress free. Thank You!!

Worker didn’t know the warranty information we have. Paid for a new thee but it is covered under warranty. We have to wait for a refund now. Said we need new wipers. They put new wipers on our car less than 7,000 miles ago. When we told him that he said must have been a bug on there when they turned them on. If not they must be expensive junk blades we were sold. Other issues also.

The dealership experience was good at Lighthouse, unfortunately they weren't able to fix some of the issues that are a manufacturing problem. The wireless charger doesn't work, this is the second time they said it is a known issue and are waiting for GM to provide a fix. There are a handful of rattles in the interior that are fairly constant that they basically said are normal. I was driving a 12 year old car previously and it had significantly less interior noise and rattle issues than my 2024 Acadia does. This seems like a GM problem rather than a dealership problem, but it would be nice if it was quieter to drive.

Bought a used truck and brought it in for a Platinum detail. They did an awesome job and the truck looks fantastic inside and out! I am very happy with the service. I brought my 2017 Buick Encore in June because the battery kept going dead because the fan wouldn’t quit running after the car was stopped. They had my car three days and did all these tests and didn’t find anything wrong. I was charged $192. I drove it home and it lasted till 7/7 and my car went dead again. I got it jumped and brought it back to Lighthouse. We talked about putting a new battery in, maybe that’s the problem. So a new battery was put in for $203. I went out to get in my car in the lot and it was completely dead again. The key fob wouldn’t even work. So they kept my car and did more testing and found out that the fan wouldn’t shut off because of the fan switch was defective.. That was another $337. I came back and picked it up yesterday and I tried to ask for a new battery because the new battery I bought had died and was drained of it’s charge. Everybody I talked to, and if you look it up online, says that if a new battery goes dead, it’s damaged. I also asked why didn’t you find this problem out the first time you had my car for three days. They knew the problem of the fan not stopping. They didn’t have any explanation. I said I didn’t need a new battery, it wasn’t the problem. . They said it’s going be OK and you have a 36 month warranty. I know that’s not what other dealerships would do. They would’ve got me a new battery that wasn’t damaged. I brought my car to your dealership from day one because I bought the car there. I don’t know if I’ll bring my car back there again to get fixed. It’s more expensive than going somewhere else, but I went there cause I thought I could trust you guys because your an apostolic Christians company. I was brought up apostolic Christian. Anyway, everybody was nice but I felt like I should’ve been compensated somehow. Beth Vandusen

We came in looking to purchase a new GMC Sierra. We were greeted by Ben Leech who was more than happy to help us with the process. Additionally, my wife and I were so tickled by the Christian atmosphere and the Godly attitudes displayed by Ben, the sales manager, and Mr. Tharp. These 3 gentlemen made what has normally been a painful experience, very pleasant and hassle-free.

I made an appointment to have our Buick Enclave's oil changed, tires rotated, and multi-point inspection done, but was not feeling well that day, so had my wife take the car in. She reported that the team was very helpful, friendly, and answered the questions I had written for her to ask, and explained everything to her in detail and print, that the car would be needing soon, and in the future. We're very satisfied with the service.
